St. Johns County Homes for Sale

Historic Florida in your Backyard

St. Johns County has always been a popular destination in Florida as it is home to the nation’s oldest city, St. Augustine, and the beautiful beaches of Florida’s first coast. For a long time it was really just the open space between the fairly populated town and tourist destination of St. Augustine to the South, and the well-established, bustling, corporation rich city of Jacksonville to the North. How times have changed for St. Johns County though! As the city of Jacksonville continued to grow with home prices increasing and availability of them decreasing, St. Johns County was the logical choice for expansion.

Families and professionals were pouring into Jacksonville as the city grew and corporations relocated to the area. Neighborhood developers took note and began building huge properties with all the amenities where the land was available – in St. Johns County. Nocatee, a development in St. Johns County, received national attention with its dozens home type options in several different neighborhoods, as well as the development of brand new schools right around the corner. With state of the art schools in St. Johns County came the best teachers so families are packing their bags and moving to St. Johns County to enroll their children in the best schools in the area. Recently St. Johns County has boasted the highest test scores in all of Florida.

To accommodate all the new people moving in to the area for all of the attractive options in St. Johns County brand new grocery stores, chain restaurants, gas stations, superstores, doggie day cares etc. are popping up.
